Refund Policy
This policy applies to all training programs, aircraft rentals, ground instruction, and course packages at RVA Flyers.
Deposits
-
Program deposits, including the $1,000 Multi-Engine deposit, are non-refundable.
-
Unused funds a student adds to their account are refundable upon request.
Ascent Program
-
If a student withdraws before beginning any training, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis, minus applicable administrative and onboarding fees.
-
Gear included in the program, such as a headset or iPad, becomes non-returnable and non-refundable once picked up.
Pay-As-You-Go Flight Training
-
Training paid per lesson is refundable only for unused funds remaining as a credit on the student's account.
-
Completed flights and instruction cannot be refunded.
-
Refunds take approximately 7-10 business days to process.
Ground School & Classroom Courses
-
Refunds are allowed if the student cancels at least 24 hours before the first class.
-
Once a class has begun, no refunds will be issued.
Aircraft Rentals
-
Completed flights are non-refundable.
-
No-show and late-cancellation fees are non-refundable.
Medical Ineligibility
If a student is unable to continue training due to FAA medical ineligibility, remaining unused funds may be refunded. Gear and completed training costs are non-refundable.
Third-Party Loan Funding
If training is financed through a third-party lender, refunds must comply with both RVA Flyers' policies and the lender's requirements. Any applicable refund will be returned to the lender rather than directly to the student.
Special Circumstances
RVA Flyers reserves the right to review refund requests on a case-by-case basis for circumstances beyond the student's control, including medical circumstances, military orders, or emergencies.
Final Decisions
All refund decisions are made by RVA Flyers management and are final.
