Cancellation / No-Show Policy

No-Show Policy

If a Student Pilot/Renter is not present for a flight within 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time shown in Flight Schedule Pro, the reservation will be considered a no-show, and the aircraft slot will be released.
For the first occurrence, the fee will equal the instructor's rate for the scheduled block time. For subsequent occurrences, the fee will equal both the aircraft and instructor rates for the scheduled block time. If the scheduled reservation is a ground lesson, the charge will be for the instructor's scheduled time.

Cancellation Policy

Students and renters must notify RVA Flyers of a cancellation as soon as possible, but no less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. Failure to provide proper notice will be considered a no-show unless caused by unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or a family emergency.
For the first occurrence, the cancellation fee will equal the instructor's rate for the scheduled block time. For subsequent occurrences, the fee will equal both the aircraft and instructor rates for the scheduled block time.
Weather-related cancellations should be made within two hours of the scheduled departure time.
These policies ensure appropriate use of our instructors, aircraft, and scheduling availability.
